Texas Court Case Look Up Services
By far the easiest online Texas Court case look up service is offered
by the PACER system. This federal database includes all Texas bankruptcy
cases, for all Districts and Divisions. In addition to attorney access,
the general public may also gain access either over the internet or by
direct dialup. In either case, the payment of a small fee is required.
Texas Court Case Look Up Information
The PACER system provides a staggering amount of information online.
Basic case information includes the names and addresses of both debtors
and creditors, the debtors social security number, case number, and
court. Forms and schedules filed are also available. Docket information
includes pending hearings, court orders, reaffirmations, and adversary
proceedings. Recent changes require truncation of social security
numbers and account numbers to inhibit identity theft.
The Secretary of State for the State of Texas provides corporate information via telephone. This information includes the name, address and contact information for the corporate representative, as well as the date of original incorporation and whether the entity remains active. All bankruptcy cases require a list of creditors, and if the address included within the list of creditors is incorrect, and notice of filing is not delivered, subsequent actions taken by the Bankruptcy Court are ineffective against that creditor. Failure to provide notice is one of the damaging and easily preventable errors made by debtors.
